- 1989: received a PhD in law under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Manfred Rehbinder, Zurich
- Since 1989: practising lawyer
- 1994: partner at a leading commercial firm in Berlin and Potsdam
- 2003 - 2007: lecturer at the Fachhochschule Brandenburg
- certified attorney for employment law
- Since July 2000: partner at LVHM
