We oversee building and real estate projects throughout Germany from
their conception, realisation and marketing. This can involve areas of
public construction law, private construction law, and the law relating
to architecture and engineering and real estate law and commercial
leases. Of course, our lawyers know their way very well around complex
real estate finance arrangements, German and foreign, such as
sale-and-lease-back.
Public construction law
We are specialised in all those areas of public law that play a role in
the completion of a building project. We are well qualified to deal,
for example, with planning permission applications and likewise

Private construction law
Our lawyers advise building contractors, both private and public,
beginning with the conclusion of the contract. If a dispute arises
between the contracting parties, during or after completion of the
building work, we do our best to negotiate a mutually satisfactory
solution. If necessary, however, we will of course resort to legal
action in order to protect the rights or our client.
Architecture and Engineering
The German law relating to architecture and engineering has developed into a discrete body of law.
Dr. Jürgen Kemper is member of the admissions committee of the
Guild of Architects in Thuringia and the author of several academic
works on architecture and planning law. We advise clients about the
conclusion of architectural and planning contracts and represent both
architects and building contractors in disputes.
Real Estate and Commercial leases
We advise our clients on every step from the acqusition of the property
through to marketing – be it in terms of a lease or a sale. We are
familiar with extremely complex financing arrangements. For example, Dr. Karl Christoph von Hülsen
advised a foreign client regarding the conclusion of contract in the
sale-and-lease-back of the supply net of a German city. Our lawyers
draft facility-management contracts and contracts of lease. In all of
these areas, our lawyers will advise clients and also represent them in
court.
